Lafarge Egypt, a leading provider of innovative building materials and solutions and a member of the global Holcim Group, officially announced its rebranding to Holcim Egypt. Backed by an asset portfolio exceeding EGP 8 billion in the Egyptian market since commencing operations, this step marks the beginning of a new strategic phase focused on innovation, sustainable building solutions, and reinforcing Egypt’s position as a strategic market within Holcim Group’s global strategy

The transition to Holcim Egypt reflects the company’s natural evolution in the Egyptian market since 1997. It combines its deep-rooted local legacy the company has built over the years with Holcim Group’s global expertise in sustainability, circular economy, digital transformation, and research and development. It also represents an evolution in the company’s business model, which has expanded beyond supplying cement and concrete to delivering an integrated portfolio of sustainable building solutions. Today, the company offers technical expertise, engineering consultancy, customized technical support tailored to each project’s requirements, low-carbon products, and digital solutions. This positions Holcim Egypt as a strategic partner to the construction industry and reaffirms its long-term commitment to supporting Egypt’s urban development and infrastructure growth

Holcim Egypt is backed by an advanced industrial platform anchored by one of the largest cement plants in the Middle East and North Africa region, located in Ain Sokhna, with an annual production capacity of 9.5 million tons. The company also operates a network of over 10 ready-mix concrete plants across Egypt, in addition to Geocycle Egypt, which specializes in safe and eco-friendly waste management and co-processing solutions.
