CC Plus Sponsors Helwan Youth Development Center Football Team, Pursing Promotion Under Head Coach Nabil Abd El-Menaam and Football Director Kamal Kamel Leadership
• Football Director: We aim to build a strong team that secures promotion to the Second Division and competes for the later stages of the Egypt Cup
• Lamia Kamel: We believe in the importance of investing in youth and sports to create a brighter future
CC Plus, leading strategic communications and public relations, announced its official sponsorship of the first football team at the Helwan Youth Development Center, formerly known as Helwan Youth Center. This step reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports, empowering young people, and showcasing Egyptian talent.
The club is the second-largest youth center in Egypt in terms of space after Al Gezira Youth Center. Its football team has achieved remarkable success in recent years. The team recently secured promotion to the Third Division after topping its group last season. This season, it has continued its winning streak with victories in its first two matches, earning six points and taking the lead in the standings. For the third time in its history, the team is competing in the Egypt Cup, where it earned its first historic win against New Giza Club, advancing to face the well-established El-Tersana Club in the next round.
Kamal Kamel, Football Director at the club, who played a key role alongside Head Coach Nabil Abd El-Menaam in strengthening the team, said that CC Plus’ sponsorship represents a major motivation for the players. He explained: “Through this partnership, we want to build a strong team with ambitions of reaching the Second Division and advancing to the later stages of the Egypt Cup. We are also working on partnerships with other clubs to bring in talented players on loan and give them the chance to demonstrate their skills on the field.”
Kamel added: “Since I joined the club, I set my sights on introducing a new model for financing football teams in Egypt. With the efforts of the club and the support of our strategic partners, this vision has become a reality. Our ambition is to establish a successful example of how to invest in community sports.”
He concluded: “Our goals are clear — earning promotion to the Second Division, competing strongly in the Egypt Cup, and developing new champions from Helwan Youth Development Center to represent Egyptian football with pride. We are fortunate to have a strong head coach in Nabil Abd El-Menaam, a former Zamalek F.C. academy player and former Al Hadid Wal Solb club player, who is leading a talented group of young players capable of writing a new chapter in the club’s history.”
Lamia Kamel, Founder and Managing Director of CC Plus, Co-Founder of The Global Narrative, and Founder of the Narrative PR Summit, expressed her pride in this partnership, stating: “Supporting the Helwan Youth Development Center football team reflects our strong commitment to community engagement. Sports played a central role in the Narrative Summit 2025: Voice of Egypt, as we believe in their ability to empower young people and enhance their sense of belonging. We see investment in youth and sports as an investment in a stronger future for Egypt.”
She added: “This initiative also reflects the Kamel family’s deep belief in the importance of football as a driver for talent development and as a foundation for advancing the sport in Egypt.”
