Americana Restaurants Egypt Renews Egyptian Food Bank Partnership for Second Year as Part of Annual Ramadan Initiative to Support Families in Need During Ramadan

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting food security and promoting the values of solidarity and social cohesion within the community, and under “Close to people in Ramadan, and beyond”, Americana Restaurants Egypt announces the renewal of its strategic partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank for the second consecutive year. The collaboration aims to launch a Ramadan initiative to provide thousands of meals and food assistance to families in need. This step aligns with the company’s vision to deepen its positive social impact through practical programs that help meet the nutritional needs of vulnerable communities during the holy month of Ramadan
The initiative includes the establishment of a Ramadan tent in El Warraq, where iftar and suhoor meals continue to be served daily throughout the holy month, ensuring consistent and sustainable food support for families in need. This collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to supporting communities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, while promoting a culture of giving and strengthening social solidarity. It also builds on the company’s more than 50-year legacy of supporting and contributing to the development of local communities
The Ramadan tent welcomes thousands of beneficiaries daily throughout the holy month, providing regular food services to meet their needs. Employees of Americana Restaurants Egypt, along with their families, also participated in this program through volunteer activities, helping prepare iftar meals and organize Ramadan tables. This engagement reinforces values of participation and social responsibility while fostering a culture of volunteerism within the company. As part of its commitment to expanding the initiative’s reach, the company is also working to extend the program to additional governorates, aiming to support as many eligible families as possible and further amplify the initiative’s positive social impact while reinforcing the values of solidarity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan
Commenting on the initiative, Hesham Talaat, General Manager of Americana Restaurants Egypt and Iraq and Regional GM of Hardee’s Middle East, said: “Our partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank helps us reach families who need support the most, and it reflects an important part of who we are as a company. Our role goes beyond serving food; it also extends to promoting community engagement and volunteerism. “He added: “We are proud to see our employees and their families coming together to help prepare iftar meals and organize Ramadan tables. Their participation truly reflects the spirit of cooperation and social responsibility, and shows how giving back is an important part of the culture at Americana Restaurants Egypt
Alongside the Ramadan tent, Americana Restaurants Egypt is providing additional meals through its well-known brands, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Hardee’s, Krispy Kreme, and Baskin-Robbins, in cooperation with the Egyptian Food Bank, ensuring a variety of meals that meet the needs of beneficiaries. This step further strengthens the initiative’s impact, as the company remains committed to delivering high-quality meals to support communities most in need.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, the company has also organized, for the fourteenth consecutive year, a Ramadan iftar for orphaned children in Talbia in collaboration with the Arab Council for Social Responsibility and Hayat Foundation. The initiative reflects the values of solidarity and compassion that characterize the holy month of Ramadan and highlights the importance of collaboration among community institutions to support the most vulnerable groups and bring joy to children through meaningful social and community activities
Americana Restaurants Egypt’s contributions extend beyond food assistance initiatives to include broader social and developmental programs. In collaboration with Misr El Kheir Foundation, the company has launched training programs designed for people of determination, aiming to equip them with the skills needed to integrate effectively into the restaurant sector and enhance their employment opportunities and economic participation. The company has also opened several stores operated entirely by employees with hearing impairments, in a practical step toward creating new job opportunities and reinforcing diversity and inclusion within the workplace
In addition, the company actively supports Dual Education and cooperative education programs throughout the year, under the umbrella of “Education for All = Food for All” initiative unifying all education and youth empowerment programs, reflecting its belief in the importance of investing in young talent and preparing them for the labor market. Through these initiatives, Americana Restaurants Egypt continues to play a vital role as a key partner in supporting the communities it proudly serves and contributing to sustainable and inclusive development
