ABS Courier marks 25 years in Egypt after handling 19 million shipments in 2025

Egyptian logistics company ABS Courier is marking 25 years of operations in the local market, after recording strong shipment growth in 2025 as demand for delivery services and e-commerce logistics continues to expand
The company handled nearly 19 million shipments in 2025, compared with 16.5 million shipments in 2024, reflecting a rise of around 2.5 million shipments year-on-year as businesses and consumers increasingly rely on digital commerce and delivery networks
Founded in Egypt in 2001, ABS Courier has expanded from an express delivery provider into a broader logistics services company offering domestic and international shipping, air freight, packaging solutions and e-commerce-related services
The company’s growth comes as Egypt’s logistics sector undergoes rapid transformation, driven by the expansion of online shopping, changing consumer behavior and rising demand for faster and more flexible delivery solutions
“We are proud to reach the milestone of handling 19 million shipments in 2025, which reflects the dedication of our team and the confidence of our customers,” Mohamed El-Demerdash, Founder and Chairman of ABS Courier, said in a LinkedIn statement
He added that the company is focused on achieving further growth in 2026 by expanding its services, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience
Expansion beyond traditional delivery
Over the past 25 years, ABS Courier has shifted from a traditional express delivery model toward a more integrated logistics approach, responding to changes in the structure of trade and consumer demand
The company now provides solutions targeting individuals, businesses and e-commerce operators, including shipment management, local and international delivery, and logistics support for companies that require scalable distribution networks
The transformation reflects a broader industry trend in which logistics providers are becoming a key part of digital commerce infrastructure, with competition increasingly focused on delivery speed, shipment visibility, technology capabilities and operational reliability
E-commerce drives logistics demand
The expansion of e-commerce has become a major growth factor for Egypt’s logistics market, increasing demand for last-mile delivery services and creating new requirements for logistics providers
Companies operating in the sector are increasingly required to manage larger shipment volumes, support multiple delivery locations, handle returns and provide flexible solutions for businesses of different sizes
ABS Courier has expanded its e-commerce services to support online purchasing activities, including its Buy and Fly service, which enables customers to purchase products from international markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries, before having them delivered to Egypt
The company also provides EgBuy, a service that supports online shopping from the SHEIN platform with delivery coverage across Egyptian governorates
Technology and cross-border logistics
Technology has become a central factor shaping the future of the logistics industry, with companies investing in digital tracking systems, shipment management platforms, data analytics and automation tools to improve efficiency and customer experience
As shipment volumes increase, logistics companies are relying on technology to optimize operations, manage delivery networks and provide customers with greater visibility throughout the shipping process
International shipping also represents a growing opportunity as Egyptian consumers and businesses increase their engagement with global markets
ABS Courier said its strategy includes continued development of international shipping capabilities alongside domestic services, supporting a diversified business model that responds to changing market needs
New phase of growth
ABS Courier enters its 26th year in the Egyptian market at a time when logistics has become closely linked to e-commerce, supply chains and cross-border trade
The company’s 19 million shipments milestone highlights both its operational expansion and the broader growth of Egypt’s logistics sector, where companies are increasingly competing through technology, service quality and the ability to manage the full shipment journey
As digital commerce continues to grow, ABS Courier aims to build on its 25 years of market experience by expanding its logistics solutions and strengthening its position in Egypt’s evolving delivery and e-commerce ecosystem
