JMCG Chairman’s Visit to Egypt Opens a New Chapter of Strategic Partnership

Transport Vehicles Distribution (TVD) was proud to welcome Mr. Qiu Tiangao, Chairman of Jiangling Motors Corporation Group (JMCG), at the head of a senior-level delegation on an official visit to Cairo. Both sides described the visit as a landmark moment in their partnership, reflecting the depth of trust and alignment built over years of successful cooperation.
El- Mostafa Abd El-Halim, Chairman and Managing Director of TVD, expressed his genuine pleasure at hosting the delegation. During the meetings, he walked the Chinese side through TVDs achievements over the past few years — spanning brand-building, sales growth, manufacturing milestones, and market share gains in the Egyptian market. He emphasized that JMCG has been a steadfast partner at every stage, and looked forward to even closer collaboration in the period ahead.
Qiu, in turn, praised the efforts and results TVD has delivered in Egypt — particularly in building brand equity and local manufacturing — and reaffirmed JMCG’s full commitment to supporting its Egyptian partner in quality management, a dimension he described as fundamental to both the industry and this market.
Discussions focused on three strategic priorities that define the next phase of collaboration
Local Manufacturing — Progress Made
The meetings addressed the current state of local manufacturing in Egypt, including the real-world challenges affecting production and supply chains — from regional geopolitical and economic conditions to their downstream impact on logistics and procurement
Products — A Strong Track Record and an Appetite for More
Abd El-Halim highlighted that all JMC products introduced to the local market has achieved a meaningful presence and competed strongly — whether in the pickup segment or the light and medium commercial vehicle space. The Carrying Plus, in particular, has resonated with customers through its versatile payload options suited to a wide range of business needs
The discussion also turned to new energy vehicles (NEVs), a segment growing in relevance in Egypt. The EV Touring has already been introduced, offering a distinctive proposition for customers in this category, with demand expected to increase significantly in the coming period
Mr. Qiu expressed appreciation for TVD’s proactive and continuous efforts to keep pace with market developments and bring new offerings to Egyptian customers. He pledged to remove any obstacles standing in the way of the brand’s continued growth, and both sides agreed to pursue portfolio expansion with all necessary measures to sustain and build on JMC’s strong position in the local market
All-New Vigus Pickup — A New Generation, Already Gaining Ground
The All-New Vigus pickup was among the most prominent items on the agenda, representing the latest and third generation of Pickup’s— a vehicle engineered to serve a wider spectrum of customer needs. The double-cabin variant was launched in December 2025 and has already achieved strong commercial traction in Egypt, resonating with both corporate fleet buyers and individual customers
The new pickup market positioning, commercial potential, and implementation roadmap were reviewed in detail. This success mirrors the model global performance — with growing demand across African markets, the Middle East, and Gulf states since its global launch — and both sides expressed confidence that the All-New Vigus, in both single- and double-cabin configurations, will be a primary growth driver for TVD in the years ahead
This visit strengthened the strategic alignment between TVD and JMCG, and laid a solid foundation for deeper collaboration. Together, we will continue advancing local manufacturing, broadening the product portfolio, and raising the bar on customer experience — opening a new chapter of sustainable growth in Egypt and across Africa
