Systems Limited Eyes Major Expansion in Egypt Following Talks with ICT Minister Company Plans to Scale Its Egypt Delivery Center and Boost Digital Exports to Global Markets

Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with Mr. Asif Peer, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Systems Limited, a global IT services and consulting company, to discuss the company’s expansion plans in Egypt and its strategy to scale digital services exports to regional and global markets.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA); Mr. Khurram Majid, General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Systems Limited;  Ahmed Kandil, Country Manager of Systems Egypt; and Eng. Mahmoud Safrata, Vice CEO of ITIDA

Discussions focused on Systems Limited’s plans to expand its operations in Egypt, including its recently inaugurated facility at Smart Village, a leading technology and business park on the outskirts of Cairo. The center currently employs around 250 engineers specializing in software development and IT services, with plans to further scale operations and create more than 380 new job opportunities in the near term

During the meeting, Minister Hindi emphasized that Egypt is moving at pace to strengthen its position as a global hub for digital services exports. He highlighted the government’s continued investment in human capital and advanced digital skills development, which has enabled the creation of a strong and competitive talent pool capable of meeting evolving global demand

He added that the continued expansion of multinational companies in Egypt reflects the success of these efforts, noting that Egypt’s competitive advantage in the technology and offshoring industry now extends beyond talent availability to include the capability to deliver high-value services in areas such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. This, he said, reinforces global companies’ confidence in expanding their operations from Egypt and increasing their digital exports

For their part, company officials noted that Systems Limited’s Egypt delivery center offers a comprehensive portfolio of services, including software development, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, systems integration, and business process outsourcing. The center serves clients across the Middle East and other international markets in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, and fintech

Asif Peer also outlined the company’s global strategy and growth plans, praising Egypt’s strong positioning as a competitive outsourcing destination. He noted that these advantages have encouraged Systems Limited to expand its footprint in Egypt, with plans to position its Egypt center as the company’s second-largest global delivery hub after its headquarters in Pakistan

He added that approximately 85% of the company’s business is export-driven, reflecting its global delivery model built on agility and continuous innovation to meet evolving client needs

The meeting also explored areas of collaboration between ITIDA and Systems Limited, including the “Training to Hire” program, which aims to equip Egyptian youth with in-demand technical and language skills. The initiative supports companies’ expansion plans by ensuring a sustainable pipeline of qualified talent, further strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading global destination for IT and business process outsourcing services
