EdVentures Founder & CEO Dalia Ibrahim Receives V-Lab Award for Advancing Egypt’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

Dalia Ibrahim, Founder & CEO of EdVentures and CEO of Nahdet Misr Group, has been awarded the V-Lab Award in recognition of her longstanding contribution to advancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt and the region

Presented by The American University in Cairo’s Venture Lab (AUC Venture Lab)—one of the region’s leading university-based startup accelerators—the award honors individuals whose leadership and sustained efforts have played a significant role in supporting entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and strengthening the startup ecosystem

The recognition reflects Dalia Ibrahim’s longstanding commitment to advancing education, entrepreneurship, and human capital development. Under her leadership, Nahdet Misr has evolved into an integrated learning ecosystem, while the launch of EdVentures established one of the MENA region’s pioneering EdTech-focused corporate venture capital funds, empowering startups through investment, strategic mentorship, partnerships, market access, and ecosystem building across Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East

Commenting on the recognition, Dalia Ibrahim, Founder & CEO of EdVentures and CEO of Nahdet Misr Group, said

The award comes shortly after EdVentures was named Global Investor of the Year at the Global Startup Awards 2026, after first winning the MENA and Africa Investor of the Year titles. Selected from more than 70,000 applicants representing 62 countries, the award recognized EdVentures’ contribution to building innovation ecosystems and supporting entrepreneurs driving impact in education and human capital

Since its launch, EdVentures has supported 108 startups and invested in 29 companies operating across more than 25 countries. Together, these ventures have reached tens of millions of learners and contributed to creating over 52,000 jobs, reinforcing EdVentures’ mission to empower entrepreneurs tackling the future of education, employability, and lifelong learning
